CSE HTML Validator provides quick and easy uninstalls in addition to quick and easy installs. Please follow these steps to uninstall CSE HTML Validator.
- Delete all manually created shortcuts (if any) to CSE HTML Validator.
- Use the Add/Remove Programs Application in the Control Panel to select CSE HTML Validator and uninstall the application (or run Uninstall CSE HTML Validator from the Program Group in the Start Menu folder that HTML Validator was installed to.
- If the uninstall program does not completely remove the HTML Validator directory, then you may manually delete its installation directory if you wish to do so. For example, if you installed CSE HTML Validator Professional v5.5x into the default directory, then delete the directory C:\Program Files\HTMLValidator55 if it is still there. If you installed CSE HTML Validator Lite v3.0x into the default directory, then delete the directory C:\Program Files\HTMLValidatorLite30 if it is still there.
- If you think that you will never reinstall or upgrade CSE HTML Validator, then you may want to delete some registry keys where HTML Validator's settings are stored (although this is not mandatory or necessary).
- For CSE HTML Validator Professional v5.5x, use the Registry Editor to delete the keys "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AI Internet Solutions\CSE HTML Validator v4" and "HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\AI Internet Solutions\CSE HTML Validator v4".
- For CSE HTML Validator Lite v3.0x, use the Registry Editor to delete the keys "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AI Internet Solutions\CSE HTML Validator Lite v2" and "HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\AI Internet Solutions\CSE HTML Validator Lite v2".
- Note that it is not necessary that these keys be deleted when you uninstall HTML Validator.
